What I want for my Birthday...

My birthday is just around the corner, and I am kinda excited (at the same time a bit sad coz I'm getting older.lol) to turn 22!

So now, here are the top three things I wanted (just any of these) which are on my birthday wishlist. As you know, I am a techie guy and I so love gadgets. So what would you expect a techie guy would want to have on his birthday? Of course, that would be the latest gadgets that has come out of the market! So without further ado, here are my top three birthday wishlist:

First, is the all new Macbook Pro....with Retina Display!

This next generation Macbook Pro just came out of the market last June 11, and was unveiled in Apple's WWDc 2012 Developer's conference in California. I really watched the liveblog of the event, as I was excited to know what Apple's going to unveil, and they did show us an upgrade to their Macbook Pro notebook lineup, as well as the latest developments in their Mac OS X and iOS. So much for that, aside from having an amazing Retina Display, it has so many other great features and upgrades which I cannot list them all right here. So, better watch this video below showcasing the features of the new Macbook Pro with Retina Display.

Next on the list, is also a product made by the Cupertino-based company - the New iPad. I also watched the unveiling of the New iPad during Apple's special event last March. I was so amazed with display of the New iPad (iPad 3 or iPad 3rd generation, whatver you might call it), as Apple has finally incorporated the amazing Retina Display from the iPhone into the tablet. What's more, the New iPad amazed me with it's quad-core graphics, 5-megapixel iSight Camera, and 4G LTE speeds (though it might take longer for LTE to be in full-operation in the Philippines). Plus, it comes with Apple's latest iOS 5.1, the world's most advanced mobile operating system!

Third on my list, is the one Android smartphone I love the most, and that is the Samsung Galaxy S III! I got my hands on this one, and I was really amazed with it's brilliant 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen. It also feels good in the hand, despite it's large size. It runs the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and has some smart features like the SmartStay and Samsung's counterpart to Siri - the S-Voice! Though I already have the iPhone 4S (and I love it!), I prefer the SGS III's large screen when it comes to mobile browsing, gaming, and video streaming.  Indeed, I should say it is the best Android smartphone to date!

So these are the top three birthday presents that I wish to receive on my very special day next month! Yeah, I know these are so expensive, but what can I do? I'm a techie guy and these are what I love to have! ;)

I just hope somebody would ever give me one of these as a present, I do hope so! I would really, really, really appreciate it so much! :)

Happy Mother's Day Mama Lucia!

First time at Panagatan

Finally, I have eaten at perhaps the best seafoods restaurant in town - Panagatan!

I have been wanting to come and dine here for a years, and wishing to eat crabs and lobsters and shrimps and all the goodness of seafood. I'm so happu I have finally eaten here, having eaten shrimps and my most favorite Calamares!

I definitely enjoyed having dinner there with a friend, with their delicious seafoods, nice ambience with dim lightings and mellow music, and the view of the sea as you enjoy eating. Wish to eat there once again!

Answered Prayer...

Whew! I'm busy, that I almost forgot to thank the lord for granting my wish and for not failing my prayers. I am already in my third night of working for my new online job right now, and I am so happy to be hired for this position - SEO Marketing and Product Development Personnel. By the job title alone, I like the sound of it, and even in just three days yet at work I am already starting to love the job, especially that it involves Search Engine Optimization which is one of the skills I am good at, aside from article writing. The employer, Miki Somos, is good to me, and the pay is good as well. I am so happy that god has given me this job, which is perfectly the job I have been asking for!

Now, I have another prayer to God, and that is to continue giving me more wisdom and strength to be able to work for this job in a long-term basis. This is the first job that I will be working at night, which was actually my preference at the first place, so as to avoid any disturbance at home and so that I can work smoothly and continuously. I pray to God that He will continue to guide me as I work each night, and to help me in whatever problems I may encounter. As I have already seen many, many prayers that God has granted me before, I am sure that with this prayer, He will never fail me.

Amen.

Baby Abbey's day out @ McDonald's

It was indeed an enjoyable day for Baby Abiguel, nicknamed "Abbey", my first niece, as she, her mom, her Ninang Roselyn and I went to McDonald's Limketkai to have our merienda and at the same time give Baby Abbey, at her sixth month, a fun time out of her comfort zone...

We enjoyed staying at Mcdo since it's a cool place and we get to have some chikka time with her mom and her Ninang Roselyn. Indeed, Baby Abbey also enjoyed a lot as we fed her with french fries, spaghetti and ice cream (Are these food even good for the baby? Nevermind.) and at the same time get to see many people around her. Also, it was her first time to go there. Not to mention, having a picture at Ronald McDonald's lap.=D

My First Dahilayan Experience!

Yesterday was perhaps one of the best escapades I ever had in my life!

Me and the members of our university's student publication, The Trailblazer, had our annual mid-year fellowship at one of the best tourist spots in Northern Mindanao - the Dahilayan Adventure Park or simply "Dahilayan". This adventure park is located many kilometers away from Cagayan de Oro City, in Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich in the pineapple province of Bukidnon. If you and your friends are planning to go there and have some awesome adventure, it is best if you have your own transportation. By the way, Dahilayan Adventure Park features its renowned ziplines which is actually Asia's longest! Aside from that, the adventure park also has other recreational services such as horseback riding, zorbit, and ATV. Moreover, if you just want to have a picnic with friends, no problem. Dahilayan has sloping picnic grounds covered with green, luscious pine trees and a small park for children to play. Also, Cowboy's Grill is located nearby. So back to my experience.

Most of my co-Trailblazer members already met at the city proper, while me along with my two other co-writers from Jasaan decided to wait to be fetched my the van at Puerto. At about 6:30 am, the van arrived and so we started the 1-hour travel to the most exciting Zipzone adventure. Along the way to Bukidnon, we've seen the wide pineapple plantations from both side of the dirt roads we've traveled. Aside from that, the air became crisp and cooler. By the time we were heading near Dahilayan, we can definitely see the scenic view of the Park as well as the ziplines. The view was really breathtaking!

The Trailalahs before we departed from Dahilayan.

Heading home: Me, Kring2x, Angelly and Carina.

It was indeed a memorable experience I had with my Trailblazer family. Now I know how it feels to be like Superman! Everybody enjoyed the whole day of zipping and flying. Not to mention everybody's tummy were oh so fool with such an amazing foodtrip. Wish I could go back again in Dahilayan Adventure Park soon!
