You might have forgotten all the pain you’ve brought me,
But for me, it had always been fresh inside my chest,
You never even tried to explain when you had to leave,
And without any doubt, you left me hanging!
How could you think it’s that easy to forget?
The day you went away without realizing how I felt,
Now the scars you left have all been healing,
But this candid heart of mine, it never will!
You told me once, that we should make most of our time,
Yet between the two of us, you were the one who did not,
I thought we’d make every second count before you go,
Coz for me, there is no one more important, than you.
Now I finally realized the most aching thing I ever knew,
That for all this time, you still can’t let go of your past,
I would have decided to hold on for you and wait,
But now, I guess there’s no sense in waiting no more.
After all the love and time I have given you,
In the end, I never expected it would be as bitter as this,
I’m already tired of holding on and thinking you are mine,
And the only thing left to do right now?
Is to finally let go of you.
